Play Podcast    Communication Tools for Online Educators
Over the past few months I have been developing lightweight (60k) internet applications that allow an instructor to record audio and video directly to their online courses from any internet enabled computer. The recording can be accessed by students live within the online course, or can be played back asynchronously. All the instructor needs in order to record is a web camera and/or an inexpensive mic ( built-in computer mic works fine).

Welcome
I want to start my first entry by thanking Dave Winer, Adam Curry, The Gillmore Gang, Engadeget and all of the other voices within the Podcasting community that have really inspired me to take the first steps toward developing a Blog and Podcast.
My goal with "Technology and Learning" is to open a dialogue with Educators, Instructional Designers, Multimedia Developers and Technology specialists to discuss the changing role that technology plays in University education. I wil start by interviewing people I have worked with over the last few years that are in charge of educational technology projects at different Universities in the Bay Area, however I hope in time that this forum will become a collaborative project whereby topics, and entire programs are constructed from the culmination of everyones interest. To this end, I hope to get suggestions at all levels. Cheers James
