What an honor it is to welcome Dr. H.D. McCarty to the Bell Shoals pulpit this morning. Dr. McCarty had a 33 year career in the United States Air Force/Reserves/Air Guard, serving as both a pilot and chaplain. He retired as a Brigadier General (only the second Chaplain General in the 350 year history of the American Militia/National Guard).

What a joy it is to welcome back to the Bell Shoals pulpit, Pastor John Russell. John is a personal friend and is currently serving as Executive Pastor at Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, Tennessee. John was instrumental in bringing our mission awareness and involvement to a new level during his tenure here at “The Fellowship of Encouragement” (1994-2006).

My Finances are Running Dry

Statistics tell us that financial problems, guilt, fear of death, and feelings of insignificance are among the greatest of those anxieties. This morning we will address the issue of financial problems. Additional training on finances will also be offered during this semester of our Wednesday night Impact classes beginning this week.

All The Days of My Life

It is with deepest regret that we inform you that our Pastor of Music and Worship, Simeon Nix, has passed into the presence of God. Simeon suffered an apparent heart attack at around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, August 16th, and was transported to the Brandon Hospital. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he passed away around 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning. We appreciate your concern for Beth and the children and request that you would lift them up in prayer during this difficult time. We ask that you please respect their privacy and do not attempt to contact them at this time.
