Viewing Diving Podcasts

Welcome to the Podcasts for the SOCDC (South Orange County Dive Club). The club is very "active" in both diving (of course) and social events. They meet on the second Wednesday of the Month at Fuddrucker's in Lake Forest (off of El Toro Road). The club has world-class speakers - photographers, videographers, scuba diving manufacturers, and local dive shop speaker/guests. They also have a terrific raffle. Jan 28 - Kress Street

Good Conditions - Great Turnout. We hear an extended review from the divers...52 to 55 degrees, great vis, little surge. We also moved down to Laguna Sea Sports to visit Gordie at their Open House. We learned that his Master Diver Class Orientation is this Monday evening at 7:00 pm. If you are considering extending your scuba education...this is the class to go to.

Jan 14, 2006 - Boat Canyon

First Club beach dive of the year. Surf was 1 foot, Surge: 2 feet, Visibility is 10-15 ft. Temps: Air 58 Water 57 Overcast a little windy but the divers were eager willing and ready. Check out www.SOCDC.com (the club site and we'll see some of Mike's U/W images with the rig shown in the podcast.

Dec 24, 2005 Christmas Eve at the Beach

Christmas Eve...lots of fog, lots of big surf. Great if your a surfer, not so good for divers. We feature a quick report from Tom at Laguna Sea Sports and show the fog. No divers were seen going into or out of the water. Air Temp: 67 degrees Water Temp: 58 degrees Surf: High Vis: 0 - 5 feet.

Dec 17, 2005 Dive at Shaw Cove

This is the first VODCAST (video podcast) for the SOCDC. The dive site is Shaw's Cove in Laguna Beach, CA...Down the street from Laguna Sea Sports. The conditions...overcast with the sun peaking in and out. The vis was terrific.

Dive at Montage Resort Dec. 3rd 2005

This was another great morning dive for the South Orange County Dive Club. Air temp was 78 degrees, water temp was 61 - 63 degrees. The weather was predicted to be overcast... however the day was clear as a bell and just beatuiful... this photos was shot as the divers were coming out of the surf.
