This sermon was preached to RUF staff at our bi-annual staff training.  The text is 2 Corinthians 4:7-12.

Play Podcast    Prodigal Sons 2: The Danger of the Older Brother
How do we connect with God as a sinner? Jesus confronts both immorality and morality in the parable. Neither connect us with God as sinners. Both the fundamentalist street preacher and those he condemns are wrong in their fundamental approach to wholeness. Our only hope is in the salvation that Jesus freely gives. The gospel makes us whole.

Play Podcast    Joshua 1:10-18
Do you want to be part of something bigger than yourself?  Do you want to make a visible, lasting difference in the world around you?  When Jesus ascends his throne, he gives his people the privelege of building his church.  He promises to be the builder, but he gives each person who becomes a Christian an essential role to play.

The Israelites who are following Joshua into the Promised Land must contribute.  No part of God's people can rest until the whole of God's people rests.  We need each other.

The Temple of God was where God dwelt with His people.  It was a taste of paradise lost...and a taste of paradise regained.

Play Podcast    Powerful Living: Loving God's Name
Names are important to people...no one likes to have their name poked fun at. Christianity has a plausible explanation for this - we are created in the image of the God who highly values His name.

The gospel tells us that Jesus gives us his name and all of its access, priveleges, and benefits. Then he takes our shameful, guilty, and evil name to the cross.

This is powerful living in love with God's name.

We're Podcasting
Welcome to the RUF Christian Fellowship @ the University of South Florida Podcast and MP3 download page. I wouldn't look for any cutting insights or cutting edge theology. We're pretty "cut to the chase" - applying the relevant truths of God's Words to the issues of your (and our) hearts. Feel free to copy and recopy anything you hear or find. It's not original to us - we're just borrowing from the men and women of Christ who have gone before us...for the past two millenium. Reaching students for Christ, Equipping students to serve.
