American Dreams - Mike One
My friend and new neighbor, Mike Roth, came over to mess around today and we recorded this song he wrote. We'll probably do this again and add some stuff to it. This was all on the first take. I just now gave him the MC name Mike One, because I labeled his track Mike1.

The Song of the Camelback Trout
My friends
Christian and Marilyn Cryder
, Jeff McRobbie, and Bert the Bass Player got together for one last folk-rock concert before the McRobbies and Cryders leave Philly and follow God to Morocco and Montana, respectively. See if you can find the Camelback Trout...

Dr. John Perkins Speaks Some Truth About Hunting Park
Dr. John Perkins of the Christian Community Development Association stopped by our house for a couple of hours and shared his heart with us. I wanted to record him saying "Jesus Loves Hunting Park" and he was more than willing. His life has helped to teach me this truth. By the way he pronounced it, you'd think he was a Philly native.

Grandma's Story
My grandma recently took a missions trip to the Philippines. She's 83 years old and has her own blog.
This is not the most entertaining thing to listen to, but she has some good advice at the very end. Plus, she's 83 years old, so she deserves to be heard, don't you think?

Young Prophet - Track 2
Josue stopped by the house a couple of weeks ago and after playing around quite a bit, we recorded this short little track which I think is pretty cool. He didn't give me a title.

The Call
My friend Josue has become an excellent lyricist and MC. He's looking for someone to produce an album for him, so if you know someone or are interested yourself, let me know and I'll connect you. Enjoy! clumsyfly@aol.com

Open Mic 2/4/06
We had an open mic last night at our house and here is the recording. The idea was to encourage youth to use their creativity in positive ways. We had a panel of judges and they decided on the top three performers based on a few categories and then they each recieved a fresh $10 bill. We had a people's choice award and that person also got a prize. We had a great time and it was encouraging to hear young people using their gifts for the Lord. It's not the best recording, but I'll be editing out the good parts and putting them up later. It is worth a listen even if the quality is poor, so please hang with it. These kids have some great things to say and they are very gifted as well. After the open mic part, we danced for a long time to the cha cha slide and stuff like that and then had a dance circle to some old school hip hop. It was a lot of fun. It might take a while to download. I haven't figured out much about compression yet. Please be patient and hang with the file. Thanks!

An Hour in the Life of Hunting Park, North Philadelphia
This footage was all shot on August 18, 2005 in the span of an hour. This was a Thursday at 12:30pm. I'm sure the kids all had passes from their teachers.

Christmas Interviews vol. 3
The final version of this little thing is actually down at vol. 2 I had to leave the links in place because I sent out an email to family and friends before I made the final edit.

Resurrection
Okay, capping off a weekend of making movies is this little piece that I made yesterday comparing my house with the abandoned one on the corner. I hope to buy it and fix it up before it is totally destroyed. A homeless guy that we know is living in there now. I will probably re-do this sometime in the future using a spotlight (it was shot in daytime but the windows are boarded up), but I was just playing with the concept in my head and decided to strike while the iron was hot. As always, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Christmas Interviews 2005 vol 2
This is actually the final edit of this little Christmas video, for reasons that are valid but not worth explaining, I put it here. The only difference between this and vol. 3 is that I added a title at the beginning. Sorry if this confuses anyone.

Christmas Interviews vol. 1
My roommate Roberto and I went out at about 2:30am last night to interview people on their thoughts about Jesus and the church. We found two willing men, one who did not want his face filmed so we just shot his reflection in a storefront window. This was at the intersection of Broad St. and Hunting Park Ave. We are collecting these interviews to put together a little thing for an upcoming worship service at our church. As we progress, I will post what we have. p.s. - be patient, it takes a while to load. If it doesn't work for you, please leave me a comment and I'll try to fix it. Also, sorry if the sound is kind of bad. I should have turned the music down. Next time...
